She is completing MSW studies through the University of Waterloo, which emphasizes current and effective approaches to supporting mental health and chronic health concerns. Karen is experienced in empowering clients of all ages to navigate grief, anger, anxiety, depression, or mood disorders. She supports couples to grow stronger and closer through skill-building in communication, constructive conflict, and emotional connection. She is a level two CBT practitioner specializing in trauma-informed approaches, chronic health condition management, and has Gottman Method for Couples training. Her practice is also informed by Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy.
