Whether it’s due to conditions such as Down’s syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Torticollis, or simply a delay in development from a variety of conditions, our physiotherapist Mikella will create a program of play that’s personally tailored to your child.
Our physiotherapist has a focus in pediatric care but can see patients of all ages. Physiotherapy is offered in both French and English.
Your child’s first physiotherapy visit will consist of a play-based assessment and treatment. We will discuss current challenges, medical problems and dig to find the root of what’s going on. We will assess while we play and keep things moving to keep your child engaged in the visit. You as the parent are included in all aspects of the treatment and any observations will be discussed ahead of time.
No, your child does not need a medical referral to recieve physiotherapy at Centre Health in Val Caron. However, many of our patients are referred in by their family physician or pediatrician. We would love to work alongside your child’s care team to ensure continuity of care for your little one!
